Environmental Impacts
The Black Saturday Bushfires hit most of Victoria's bushland, but it is the environment that was hit the hardest. It had a great affect on the wildlife, with the RSPCA estimating that the wildlife injury and death would tally more than a million. Many of the surviving wildlife suffered burns and other injuries. The plants in the bush were most harmed, and this had an impact on many of the animals who need the vegetation for survival. |
