How the Local Government Helped the Locals
The Local Government helped by having numerous responses including a Royal Commission, as well as discussions and recommendations from a wide variety of organisations, bodies, authorities and communities to help assist those of the community and the people who were affected greatly by the Black Saturday Bushfires. Former prime minister Kevin Rudd offered the Premier of Victoria a number of Australian Defence Force to help and provide aid and assistance in the affected areas of Victoria, which was accepted. |
